As your Centre Wellington Councillor, I am committed to making thoughtful decisions that strengthen our community today while planning for the future. Whether it's improving infrastructure, supporting recreation, advocating for affordable housing, or working alongside local organizations, I believe in building a community where everyone can thrive.
Our Community Has Deep Roots
Elora and the surrounding area were shaped by generations of families connected to industrial furniture manufacturing. Their work, businesses and craftsmanship helped build the community we know today.
Major Council Decisions
I am proud to have supported a number of significant projects and decisions that will benefit Centre Wellington for years to come.
Infrastructure & Growth
- Purchase of the Middlebrook Well to help secure a long-term water supply.
- Advancing infrastructure renewal projects throughout Centre Wellington.
- Fergus Secondary Plan, supporting approximately 6,000 new homes, along with additional housing developments across the Township.
- Advocacy for affordable housing initiatives.
- Centre Wellington Asset Management Plan.
Recreation & Community Spaces
- Community Services Master Plan.
- Active Transportation Plan.
- Expansion of lands at the Centre Wellington Sportsplex for future recreation opportunities.
- Approval of the Multi-Use Recreation Facility (MURF), including an indoor walking track.
- Reconstruction of the Jefferson Community Centre.
- Reconstruction of the Belwood Hall.
Community Partnerships
- Creation of a committee to support physician recruitment initiatives.
- Support for the Habitat for Humanity housing project.
- Support for community organizations and grassroots initiatives, including the CW Mobile Market, Tree Trust, Environment Centre, and Bungalow 55.
