Lisa's Accomplishments & Priorities

Lisa has supported a number of initiatives focused on strengthening Centre Wellington, planning for responsible growth, and supporting the needs of residents today and into the future.

Economic Development & Climate Action

Lisa has supported the development of an Economic Development Corporation and initiatives involving the Municipal Accommodation Tax (MAT) to encourage local economic development and support the community’s tourism and business sectors. She has also supported the addition of a Climate Action Change Coordinator to help advance local environmental initiatives and climate action.

Healthcare, Housing & Community Wellbeing

Lisa is working with Groves Memorial Community Hospital on doctor recruitment, supporting efforts to strengthen local healthcare and attract physicians to the community. She has also supported the Housing Action Plan and the Township’s purchase of 350 St. Andrew Street West in Fergus, creating an opportunity to bring future affordable housing to an established area of the community.

Water, Transportation & Infrastructure

Lisa supported the purchase of the Middlebrook well to help secure Centre Wellington’s long-term water resources as the community continues to grow. She has also supported the Active Transportation Plan and Mobility Plan, along with bridge replacement projects in Ward 1, including 28P, 32P and 33P, and improvements to local culverts.

Parks, Recreation & Community Spaces

Lisa supported the Parks & Recreation Master Plan, which helps guide the future of parks, recreation facilities and community spaces throughout Centre Wellington. She has also supported the expansion of Sportsplex lands and the Multi-Use Recreation Facility (MURF), including an indoor track designed to provide recreation opportunities for residents of all ages.

Community Safety & Accessibility

Lisa championed the Veterans crosswalk, which is planned for installation by Remembrance Day 2026, helping create a lasting community recognition of those who have served. She has also supported training and equipment for Centre Wellington’s Volunteer Fire Department, helping ensure local firefighters have the resources they need to serve the community.
